Over these last few months, we all have needed to adapt our ways of being and living due to COVID-19. It might feel like destruction and terror are on every side. However, in these days where it feels like chaos is being thrown at us from every direction, we are called to remember that God’s love for us is constant and he is present even in this ever-changing world. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
(Hebrews 13:8) Jesus is the same as when he walked the earth 2,000 years ago. And while things have drastically changed in our nation and world since the beginning of the year, we know that God is good and He is with us.
What our pastoral staff is planning for now is more of the unknown as we look to the fall. Our faith formation team has been preparing to welcome back all of our families. While we are anticipating being back in person we cannot be certain what Phase of the Catholic Comeback we will in so we have to be ready for every situation that presents itself.
One major change we have decided for the 2020-21 year is that all high school formation for St. Bruno and St. Paul will be hosted at St. Paul’s. The main reason for this decision is we have the space, staff, and supplies available at our St. Paul campus that will allow us to effectively and safely accommodate the formation classes. We are better able to accommodate the whole program on the St. Paul campus especially as we conform to CDC and Archdiocese guidelines. This is just one way we are being called to adapt during these uncertain times, in order to keep our larger faith family safe. We understand that this is different from past years and we greatly appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Jennifer Geisler.
And please continue to pray for our parishes, communities, and world as we navigate these unprecedented times. As always, I am praying for all of you.
