We want to extend heart-felt congratulations to
Fr. Bob McGlinn on the occasion of the
60th Anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. He was ordained by
Samuel Cardinal Stritch, the Archbishop of Chicago, on May 3, 1955, as a priest of the Chicago Archdiocese.
Fr. Bob has been on loan to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for many decades. He taught in the public school system, and for 23 years served as a missionary to the people of Honduras whenever he had summer and holiday breaks in his teaching schedule. In 1991,
Archbishop Weakland appointed
Fr. Bob the administrator of the Christo Rey Parish in Racine. He served in that capacity for 16 years. Then, he moved out to Waukesha County and has been serving multiple Spanish-speaking needs, including at St. Bruno. Since 2007,
Fr. Bob has celebrated Mass and given all kinds of other service for the Hispanic people at St. Bruno up to this day.
