My name is Kim Scanlan and I am so delighted to be a part of St. Bruno! Let me tell you a little bit about me. Originally from Illinois, about 6 years ago my husband‛s job brought us to the wonderful state of Wisconsin where we reside in Waukesha. No, I am not a Bears fan just a big Chicago Blackhawk fan and Packer fan! I have been involved with education since 2006, when I started substitute teaching after staying at home to raise my two beautiful children Kaitlynd (17) and Nolan (14). While substitute teaching, I immediately developed a passion for working with students in education and in 2008, I went back to school to pursue my Masters in Teaching and graduated in 2010. In addition to my MA in Teaching, I also hold a B.S. in Public Relations with a minor in psychology. I enjoy reading, golfing, sports (especially watching my kids swim competitively), and just hanging out with my family. I have been in many different teaching capacities over the years and found that I absolutely love working with middle school students. I could not be more excited to be teaching them what I have always been passionate about...ELA!
