As a student in younger years I did very well. Middle and high school were more difficult for me and I had to work very hard. At first I thought I wanted to work toward a nursing degree so I started by getting my CNA and took some Nursing classes. After deciding I wanted to be a Teacher I got a degree in Early Childhood from MATC in 2007 and have been working with children ever since!
I decided I wanted to be an educator because I had some really great teachers along the way who inspired me to do so. Looking back to my elementary school days, my fondest memories were of a teacher who made a huge impact in my learning and took the time to work with me and understand where I was coming from. Those teachers are hard to forget and I strive to be one!
I was led to become a St. Bruno Wildcat through my children attending school here and absolutely loving the community! It is truly a family and I enjoy seeing every staff and student each day I’m blessed to be there.
I grew up going to different churches, but always with the same message of the love of Jesus at the forefront! Before coming to St. Bruno’s I was a Christian Education Director for Children’s Ministry at a church in my hometown. Serving God and demonstrating what that looks like to our youth has always been important to me!
In my time outside of school I like to spend time with my husband, two daughters who attend St. Bruno’s, and our puppy. We enjoy doing anything together from snowshoeing to going to the movies. Being outside and watching our girls do sports are our favorite things! My daughters also show sheep at the county fair through 4-H and that makes our summers great!
I want the children I work with to always remember that they are loved and genuinely cared for. I want them to remember to dream big and know I’m rooting for their academic and personal success. And most of all their walk with Jesus!
