My name is Melissa Dunlavy and I am so excited about being a part of the St. Bruno community as the new K5/First Grade teacher!
I was born and raised with five other siblings in Bettendorf, Iowa. After I graduated high school, I decided to pursue my education at University of Wisconsin-Platteville. I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Platteville (Go Pioneers!) in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Education. I love school myself, and can’t wait to pass my passion for learning on to you! I also played soccer at Platteville, so I hope we have A LOT of soccer fans in our class :) After I graduated college, I took a position as a Kindergarten aide at St. Isidore's in Bloomingdale, Illinois.
When I am not teaching or planning fun activities for us to do in school, I enjoy playing sports (especially soccer and volleyball), exploring the outdoors, spending time with my family and friends, taking my dogs for long hikes, and eating-out.
I have been having a great year of learning and growing with my students!
Love,
Miss Dunlavy
