“Confession is an act of honesty and courage - an act of entrusting ourselves, beyond sin, to the mercy of a loving and forgiving God.” -St. Pope John Paul II
We all miss the mark sometimes. We all have wounds from living this life. The Sacrament of Reconciliation, also called Penance or Confession, was given by Christ to the Apostles – who in turn hands it on to the bishops and priests that follow. As He gives the ability to forgive sins in His name (meaning the priest acts as the spokesman for the forgiveness of Christ), Jesus tells the Apostles, “Peace” (John 20:21)! Peace is the fruit of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Second grade students and above are invited to participate in the preparation for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation. Please contact the Child & Family Minister for further details.
