Advocacy in Action is a national program recognizing achievements in music education
The award is in the Student Recruitment, Engagement, and Retention category for our program: “Mission S.O.S.I.T.A (Sounds of Space In the Air): Taking Music to Zero Gravity.” The category award is given to a program that demonstrates a commitment to building and sustaining a high-quality school music program.
The Advocacy in Action Awards recognize and celebrate the commitment of school administrators, community leaders, teachers and parents who believe in music education and are advocating to ensure that it is part of a comprehensive education for all children.
We are so proud of Lisa Werner for all of her hard work with our music program!

This will include a custom made observation honey bee hive along with the Educator’s Box that will have a curriculum to use to teach our students all about the life of the honey bee and their importance in our world. We are bee-side ourselves with excitement to bring this project to our school! Watch for more information to come in the spring! A special thanks to Paula Curry, Lisa Werner, Erin Mulligan, Mary MacDonald, Anne Millane, Kurt Hendrick and Jim Millane for all of their help in organizing this project and submitting the grant.
